Milani Baked Blushes!

Ladies, let’s admit that we are in a restless searching of that perfect blush that will make our cheeks look healthy and at the same time, pinch-able (or kissable..or..suckable like those xiao long paos.....). Matte blushes are nice if you have very shimmery eyes and don’t want to go overboard. On the other hand, blushes with chunky glitters can emphasize your pores and make you look like a disco ball (unless you want to go to 70’s party or all that jazz). Then, how can I have that right amount of flush??

So, without any further ado, let me introduce you to amazing drugstore blushes that I am currently LOVING: Milani Baked Blush in Corallina and Luminoso.

I picked baked blush because it has been said that they last longer than traditional blushes since makeup companies actually produced them by heating colored makeup liquid on terra cotta tiles (sounds fancy, right?). They are retail around $7-$8 (around 80-100IDR) weigh around 0.12 ounces or 3.5 grams. So, I ended up give them a try and now they are like my Holy Grail blushes! Not only are they pigmented and gorgeous, but they also have the right shimmer and buildable, too.

Corallina described as shimmery coral and Luminoso is a slightly shimmery peach. As you can see from the picture wayyyy above, as a proof that I have been using Luminoso a lot, the writing on the package has already gone! Pooff! And do notice the stunning colors in the pan. Ohlala as if they can instantly brighten up your look!

Don’t be scared of the shimmer that Corallina showed given that once you apply it, it is barely there and it will give you a right amount of flush of color to your face. The shimmery peach above Corallina is Luminoso. You can achieve that beautiful glowy peachy healthy look with this blush. This is the one that I use everyday along with my matte bronzer because it really does have subtle shimmer and striking finish. I have oily skin but believe me this blush won’t make you look like you’ve been cooking fried chicken in a kitchen (hey, it rhymes!).

I found it so-so in terms of the packaging. Quite compact and has mirror and a brush inside. I don’t really like the brush because it is not as soft as my sigma one but it is a good alternative if I don't bring my other brush.

What do you think about these blushes?

Have you tried other Milani blushes?

Some nuggets..

  • I sold my naked palette (I KNOW!! WHY, NAY, WHY!)... because I thought I'm gonna get Lorac Pro. I've been doing some research and stumbled upon ELF studio endless eyes pro mini palette in classic that said to be naked dupe. The best thing is, it costs around $6 only. Hmm. Temptation is everywhere...
  • I want to make deep fried oreos. yums!
  • Or maybe corn dogs..
